One Rich Fool is a fresh, hip, young band. Arrangements are solid, mature, and interesting. They are not afraid to lead with an electric guitar.

Musicians would like the clarity of this recording - you can hear everything very easily - both vocals and instruments.

One musical highlight of this album (for us) was the slick drum groove and innovative arrangement of the hymn, "The Wonderful Cross."

Don't be fooled by the band's original lyrics. If you're not paying attention, they might seem simplistic. However, if you sing along with the lyric sheet in hand, apply the words to your life and sing them as prayers, you'll find some pretty deep stuff.

We became aware of this band when our multi-talented friend, Calvin Bryden joined the band as bass player. This CD is from the band's pre-Calvinist era, but you should buy it anyway, because these guys might be famous one day - and you'll want to be able to say you have their first album!
